Post Publication Policy

Journal of Economics, Business & Accountancy Ventura

1. Policy Statement

Journal of Economics, Business & Accountancy Ventura (JEBAV) is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and quality of the scholarly record. The journal recognizes that academic discussion continues after publication and encourages constructive scholarly engagement with published research.

JEBAV provides opportunities for readers, researchers, authors, and other members of the academic community to discuss, evaluate, question, and critically examine articles published in the journal.

This policy follows the principles of publication ethics and editorial accountability established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

2. Scope of Post-Publication Discussion

Post-publication discussion may address the theoretical foundations, research methodology, data analysis, interpretation of findings, practical implications, and scientific contributions of published articles.

The journal welcomes evidence-based scholarly comments, methodological critiques, alternative interpretations, requests for clarification, and concerns regarding research integrity.

All discussions must maintain academic professionalism, intellectual honesty, and respect for the authors and other participants.

3. Mechanisms for Post-Publication Discussion

JEBAV facilitates post-publication discussion through correspondence with the editorial office, Letters to the Editor, scholarly commentaries, and author responses, subject to editorial evaluation.

Readers who wish to comment on published articles may submit their concerns or observations to the editorial office. Submissions should identify the relevant article, including its title, authors, publication details, and Digital Object Identifier (DOI), where available.

Comments should clearly explain the issues raised and provide appropriate scientific evidence or supporting references.

The editorial team will assess the relevance, academic merit, and ethical implications of each submission before determining whether further editorial action is necessary.

4. Editorial Assessment and Author Response

The Editor-in-Chief or a designated editor will evaluate post-publication comments to determine whether they require clarification, an author response, independent expert assessment, or formal investigation.

When appropriate, the journal will invite the corresponding author to respond to substantive scientific questions or concerns.

Editors may consult independent reviewers or subject specialists when a discussion involves complex methodological, statistical, or ethical matters.

The journal aims to provide a fair opportunity for all relevant parties to present evidence and respond to substantive concerns.

The editorial team retains responsibility for deciding whether to publish a commentary, author response, editorial clarification, or other post-publication notice.

5. Research Integrity Concerns

If a post-publication discussion identifies potential plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, inappropriate image manipulation, undisclosed conflicts of interest, duplicate publication, or other serious ethical concerns, the editorial team will initiate an appropriate assessment.

The journal will evaluate allegations objectively and confidentially, where appropriate, in accordance with relevant COPE guidance.

Depending on the findings, the editorial team may issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction.

6. Transparency and Editorial Independence

JEBAV maintains editorial independence and evaluates post-publication discussions according to their scientific merit, supporting evidence, and relevance to the scholarly record.

The journal does not tolerate personal attacks, defamatory statements, discriminatory language, harassment, or allegations presented without reasonable supporting evidence.

Editors may decline submissions that lack scholarly relevance, repeat previously resolved arguments without new evidence, or violate accepted standards of academic communication.

7. Publication and Accessibility

When the journal accepts a post-publication commentary or formal response for publication, it will make the material publicly accessible and, where appropriate, link it to the original article.

The journal will clearly identify formal corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions to ensure that readers can understand the current status of the scholarly record.

Where JEBAV has implemented Crossmark, the journal will register relevant publication-status updates through Crossref.

8. Contact and Submission of Concerns

Readers, researchers, and authors may submit post-publication comments, requests for clarification, or concerns regarding published articles through the official editorial communication channels listed on the JEBAV website.

Submissions should include sufficient information and evidence to support an editorial assessment.

The editorial team will review each submission and determine the appropriate course of action in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.

9. Policy Review

JEBAV will periodically review this policy to maintain consistency with developments in scholarly publishing, research integrity, and internationally recognized publication ethics standards.
